Discrete Geometry

Nature’s strategies in filling space in this manner have inspired developments in material science, chemistry, biology, and architecture. I have decided to use the bisymmetric hendecahedron for its space-filling properties. Then using grasshopper as a computational design tool I was able to create an algorithm that fractals any input shape into an aggregation of hendocahedrons. After shape, scale, and material exploration, the Hendo table was born.
